Africa’s largest snake is the African Rock Python. This snake is a non-venomous constrictor with keen teeth and a firm grip that can take down huge prey, including humans. This snake, which is native to Sub-Saharan Africa, has developed a small population in Miami.
The average adult African Rock Python is 10-16 feet (3-5 meters) long. These are enormous, stout-bodied snakes with two dark spots down the back that are typically continuous and uneven and are bordered by black and white. The hue of the background body is commonly tannish-brown or brownish-gray. The top of the head is black, with a bright stripe running down both sides of the head, making a dark spearhead pattern that extends into the eye and converges on the nose. The color pattern of juveniles is similar to that of adults, although the colour is more vibrant.
Non-venomous African Rock Pythons mostly eat their own kind. Small people and pets are often avoided by small people. Larger African Rock Pythons, on the other hand, have enormous, sharp teeth, and their s can be severe. Dogs and cats are capable of interacting with large creatures. Almost of s happen when the snakes are deliberately harassed.
